Eunah Hong (*1983, Daegu) currently lives and works in Berlin. Her artistic practice seeks to explore personal reflections on psychological, social, and political issues through formative variations. At the core of her work is an attempt to engage in visual problem-solving by repeatedly transforming a single motif in various ways. This repetitive method demonstrates her strategy of investigating a single theme from multiple angles in search of a solution.

This approach is particularly evident in her series (De-)vision Division and her drawing series Blanc, where she examines the clash between the individual’s inner world and the external environment through visual media, while also striving to bridge the gap between the two. Whether in large-scale oil paintings or small-scale drawings, her consistent use of repetition underscores her focused investigation into visual challenges.
